I started back to work this week, part time. I am glad it was part time; it really took a lot out of me just to show up 4 days and 6 hours each. I have the same schedule this week.

I am kind of pissed. The place where I work contact me after one week, I dropped off my Dr. excuse to return to work. They told me that I no longer had job but they would hire me back part time. After telling me that, they said I could start the next week. So two fucking weeks after the doctor's O.K. , they O.K. me coming back. If I had purchased short-term disability I know I would have been back to work sooner. I also bet if I had short-term disability my position would have never disappeared. BULLSHIT. If I had been able to seen the Dr a lot sooner I could have been back to work a lot sooner, I sat on my hands for several weeks waiting for another damn Dr.’s appointment.

Well, anyway the people at therapy wanted me work part time to start. There were Dr.’s who wanted to me to think until I reached 6 months or longer until I considered going back to work, I shut them up by telling them then stop the damn bill collectors from calling me for your money. I need the job whether I can work or not. I am fine. I may be only at 75% O.K. but I am better than most others when I am only 75%.

My ribs only hurt only occasionally; my skull has healed almost completely (the reason I always wear a hat). My lung is only 75% but I think it will always be. My brain is only 75%, I have trouble remembering things like names and I have trouble messing up words. I had a little bit of dyslexia before the accident, now it is magnified. We use a three letter short cuts on the computer at work, I almost always get them wrong, I remember the three letters but I almost always get them mixed up. I talk kind of funny; I think I will always come off as “goofy”, that is the way I am. Yes, I still constantly laugh while talking, some people think it is “cute”, I remind them that it will get annoying in time, just ask my wife. I cry all the time, it comes out of nowhere sometimes, most of the time it comes when something sad happens. Like talking to someone I miss or thinking of things in my life were unhappy. During my life I never cried, never. I did not even cry at my brother’s funeral, I was unhappy at the time but I could not cry, just mentioning now leads to an eyeful of tears. I am messed up now in some ways and I will always will be. I’ve accepted it.

One thing that really pisses me off is my shoulders. I constantly complained while in the hospital that led to an x-ray that led to nothing. I complained to all the fucking Dr.’s that I have been to. I finally got an appointment to a Dr. that have been to before my accident for my shoulders. It also took so long because he wanted an MRI (it also took a long time because he is never in and impossible to get an appointment) I tried an MRI after being doped up before and I could not stand it. Now I can’t even stand to get in a drive through at Burger King, I can’t stand being trapped in line. He gave me a couple of shots into the shoulders and sent me on the way. It only worked 80% on my left shoulder and my right shoulder works only about 20%. I can not raise my right arm and it hurts like hell. Of course, my calling this physician is out of the office until Monday.

I tired Yoga after the shots (it will work after a couple of days); I could not even do simple Yoga stances because my shoulder gave out. 4 months since the accident, my brain is 75%, my lung is 75%, ribs about 90%, skull is 90% and my damn shoulders that were hurting long before the accident is now about 25% O.K. I give him one more chance to take care of this or I am finding someone else. Someone else who will be there when I need them but also be able to fix me. But everything else is healed and heeling and my shoulders still hurts, really hurts damnit. I know something else is going on besides “frozen shoulders”. There is something related to my brain damage or perhaps neck problems from the fall.

These shoulders have been screwed up by this Dr. but was also screwed up by physical therapy at HealthSouth who would not touch this until I visited a Dr. Now I do not have any Physical Therapy visits available by the insurance company. United Health also sucked for not being able to help me. And all those Dr.’s I went to who would not do anything about it: just send me to the specialist is their attitude. Well fuck all of you, I am still messed up. My shoulders hurts.

Well so much for my whining, it is good therapy to bitch and let it out. I am turning more like a women than I like to admit. :)

Well I am back to work, after a few weeks at part time they better put me at full time or I am leaving. I am looking if anyone wants me, I seriously doubt that they doing full time if they can get away with it. I doubt if I could do sales now, because of the way I talk, but I never talked that well before and did all right. Hell, I can do sales. I can probably talk as well as some of them, I am not pretty but never really was. I probably come off as goofy as some salesmen. I am smarter than most, I just don’t come across as such. Yeah, sales is the ticket. I am also looking for a full time Microbiologist position in Tucson, AZ. Interested?

I am sorry, myself is the about the only thing I can talk about. It keeps me busy.

I have recovered somewhat since last posting on my self dated 5-12-08. I no longer have wheels. I spent 3 weeks in a wheelchair at rehab, 4 weeks since on a walker and now I have gone 6 days without a walker. I can not walk very fast and not real well but I move along.

Well I did have to use the walker one afternoon, I have taken a bunch of sedatives for an MRI on my shoulder. I could not walk that HIGH and I had to walk to the MRI room. The MRI was a complete failure. The put me in and I wanted OUT NOW! I need an open MRI and my insurance company won't pay for it so now we battle over my health care and their stupid rules. I am supposed to have a brain scan done too before my 6-16 doctor's appointment. This Dr is supposed give me the OK to go back to work and drive. Hey I am driving now, not very often but I can handle it just fine. So I have Monday to harass the insurance company and then get it set up in time for my Shoulder MRI to one doctor and brain scan to another doctor all within 2 weeks. Some one needs to come up with something other than an MRI to look at my shoulder and I don't even know what is involved in my brain scan but this is all BULLSHIT to me.

I am well enough to drive and to go to work. I don't need all this crap. I just need my shoulder fixed and I would like it fixed after 4 months of it being messed up. I NEED TO WORK AND GET SOME INCOME BEFORE I GET FURTHER BEHIND ON BILLS AND POSSIBLY LOSE MY HOME. STOP MESSING WITH THIS CRAP AND TAKE CARE OF IT!

This week, I also went to visit Social Security about disability. They basically told us that you (me) will never get any money because it take a full year and my wife make too much money for me to qualify for any disability. Oh they filled out forms and will pursue my medical records (3 months waiting time). What a waste of my time.

I said out loud "that this is a waste of time, that I will be back to work in July." The Social security guy said "Just by looking at you, I doubt if you will be back to work in July" My God, he sounds just like my Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapist that I will not be back to work in July. "We are looking to some time this fall" they all said. I worked them over for a couple of weeks and possibly I may get back to work in July but only part time. BULLSHIT! I CAN GO NOW. I DON'T NEED ANOTHER MONTH OR TWO OR THREE MONTHS OF PHONY THERAPY. I HAVE A WIFE AND KIDS AND PETS AND A MORTGAGE AND THEY ALL NEED ME AND I AM CAPABLE OF MEETING THEIR NEEDS. HOW ABOUT YOU MEETING MY NEEDS AND GET MY FRICKING SHOULDER STRAITENED OUT AND GET ME BACK TO WORK.

Well screw you to social security, therapy, and insurance companies. You have dicked me around enough.

Any one who is willing to hire salesman with over 12 years experience, national ranking with Fortune 100 company. I also have over 15 years of Medical Microbiology experience with some general lab work in chemistry, urinalysis and hematology and have proven work record and leadership skills in both sales and medical fields. HIRE ME. I have bum shoulder and right arm and I also have a little difficulties in speaking now and perhaps will always have these shortcomings for the rest of my life. I can live with it, can you? I have always made money for the people I have always worked for and you will not be disappointed in me. I will probably do better than anyone else you may hire ,no matter what field, you want me to work. They may look better but I always comes through. Grab a hold of me now.

It is too hard to type right now, not impossible but is difficult. I wrote an email to friends and family a few days ago, to let them know how I was doing. I asked them to please forward this email to friends or family as I am not the person who saved emails and phone numbers over the years. I have not been very good at this but I plan on being much better in the future. I ask to please read the email because it is a lesson to all humans on being clumsy, being one who took others for granted and being to "busy" to worship, read or study the Bible or GOD. Here it is:

I am home now. I was in various hospitals. For those who don't know what happen, here is what I'm been told mostly and remembered as best as I can.

I am learning to walk and talk again. I did damage to my brain after fracturing my skull in several places. I can't walk but am learning how. I can talk mostly now, but still have a way to go, but neither may be the same. Only a long time will tell me how much better I improve. I now have a walker, I graduated from a wheelchair. I am going to physical, speech and occupational therapy 2 or 3 times a week. I also just started going to a local gym trying to build strength and use the hot tub which relieves my back. I guess if I had a number, I would say physical is 60% and brain is 80% better right now.

I also broke or cracked 11 ribs. I am as sore as hell now. I have a whole bunch of Oxycontin (sp.?) to take away my pain. It is still impossible to sleep now.

They said I punctured a lung. This led to many medical problems at first and I seemed to have recovered as best as I can for now. I also have two screwed up shoulders. I can barely move my right arm and right hand is almost seems dead. They are not sure if I have shoulder problems from the fall or whether some of the the problems are related to the brain damage. I need more testing on it. Only time will tell for now. The short story is that I don't type very well!

They told I was in a coma for 6 days. I don't recall it. I missed all of the first 3 weeks, and the next 2 weeks I slowly came back and barely recall or remember too much. I then came back the next 2 weeks and they let out of the last place I was at (Health South Rehabilitation.) Seven weeks in a row at hospitals and I do not plan ever going back again.

I was to thank everyone who helped my family and my wife. My kids and my wife had a very hard time. I want thank everyone who came to visit me. I did not see most of you but I saw the ones who came toward the end of my stay. It really helped my kids and wife by those who helped them in so many ways, I am discovering more and more help that people had done so. I still do not know all of the help yet. This is why to please forward to all friends and family. This email ,at least, they we able to read my thanking them.
Oh by the way, I did this by falling off my ladder! I don't remember it and NO I DID NOT have any alcohol. I have not had any alcohol since the Super Bowl party. I throw in this because someone who did not know me started this rumor. I don't know why this pisses me off, but really irritates me. I had an accident on a Sunday morning, I never had drink in my whole life on a Sunday morning, I doubt if I started now. It was an accident period. Well that's is enough of this non sense anyway.

I have lost nearly 40 lbs. just 30 more lbs to go and I will be normal weight. I guess I will climb a ladder again and go the for 30 lbs :). Hell maybe I can get rich my writing a book on weight loss by climbing a frickin ladder.

I know I am sounding like whining but I do not intend that. I met some people the last place I stayed who really had it a lot worse than I did. I count my blessing everyday since. (Maybe you should too, count your blessing!). I be back someday. I am shooting for July to recover enough to go back to work maybe part time work to start off by then. I am thankful for being alive and thankful for friends and family, there is not really too much to life than friends and family.

My sons Brandon and Michael are helping out as much as they can. Brandon has moved home and he gets to drive me around to Physical therapy and Drs appointments and Michael drives me around too. My mother was here and really helped out and she will be back real soon to help me out. It is kinda weird a man of 52 years old who has his mother helping him out!

Of course my wife is very kind and loving and she is the one who really is the one who is taking of me and she had done so much for me while I was in hospital. All the stuff she had done is too much to list and I am finding more every day what she had to do while I am down. Thanks LOVE.

Well, I am having trouble typing this. But please forward this message to as many friends and family so I have way to let everyone I know I am OK and I really wants thanks them for watching me and my family. I really what to thank people who prayed for me. If you don't believe in GOD, how could you not believe in HIM after witnessing what has happened to me.

I am sick of presidential candidate Barack Obama being referred to as "African American" or "black." The truth is that he a a "caramel" candidate. His mama is white. If she were alive today, would she care that her side of the gene pool is ignored? What if Obama was trying to pass himself off as white, would the "African American" community be silent about his dark skinned father being ignored? The hypocrisy of it all is fascinating.
I'm willing to bet that a good percentage of Obama voters don't even know that he is biracial, because they really don't know what he stands for (other than his empty promises). They can't even name one achievement in his life. He just looks good and talks good and promises his dimwits what they want to hear.
To me he is just an empty suit, a tax-raising, baby killing, treasonous empty suit, and he may be our next president. If he becomes president of the U.S.A it will be a good thing for the Republican party (or soon to formed Conservative Party). After a couple years of him trying to "socialize" America even more, the American people will grow tired of his higher taxes and the Republicans will come back. Too bad that it will take a socialist to reunite this once great party of conservatives.

It is now the official Election Year nationally; I have been getting these reports sent to me. This one was particularly interesting ( I have included a link to the original report). Whatever your politics, however you lean, however you feel about the War on Terrorism, this report should open some eyes.

These are some rather eye-opening facts.
Since the start of the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan, the sacrifice has been enormous. In the time period from the invasion of Iraq in March 2003 through today, we have lost over 3,000 military personnel to enemy action and accidents.
As tragic as the loss of any member of the US Armed Forces is, consider the following statistics: The annual fatalities of military members while actively serving in the armed forces from 1980 through 2006:

If you are confused when you look at these figures, so was I.
Do these figures mean that the loss from the two latest conflicts in the Middle East are LESS than the loss of military personnel during Mr. Clinton's presidency; when America wasn't even involved in a war?
And, I was even more confused; when I read that in 1980, during the reign of President (Nobel Peace Prize winner) Jimmy Carter, there were 2,392 US military fatalities!

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat, and was very much in favor of 'the redistribution of wealth.'
She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Republican, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.
One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the addition of more government welfare programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father. He responded by asking how she was doing in school.
Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.
Her father listened and then asked, 'How is your friend Audrey doing?' She replied, 'Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over.'
Her wise father asked his daughter, 'Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct a 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.'
The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, 'That wouldn't be fair! I have worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She played while I worked my tail off!'
The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, 'Welcome to theRepublican Party.'

She spoke for almost an hour on her future plans for increasing every Native American's present standard of living, should she one day become the first female President. She referred to her career as a New York Senator, how she had signed "YES," for every Indian issue that came to her desk for approval. Although the Senator was vague on the details of her plan, she seemed most enthusiastic about her future ideas for helping her "red sisters and brothers". At the conclusion of her speech, the Tribes presented the Senator with a plaque inscribed with her new Indian name Walking Eagle. The proud Senator then departed in her motorcade, waving to the crowds.

A news reporter later inquired of the group of chiefs of how they had come to select the new name given to the Senator. They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of shit it can no longer fly.

The teacher asked both men if they would like to lead the discussion of the word "tragedy". So the illustrious Rev Jackson asks the class for an example of a "tragedy".
One little boy stood up and offered: "If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a runaway tractor comes along and knocks him dead, that would be a tragedy."No," says the Great Jesse Jackson, "that would be an accident."
A little girl raised her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy."I'm afraid not," explains the exalted Reverend Al. "That's what we would call a great loss."
The room goes silent. No other children volunteer. Reverend Al searches the room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?" Real Men Needed

What the hell has happened to this once great country. We are at war and the House votes on a non-binding resolution to not support the Commander-In-Chief? Where are the real men of this country? Why did it get this far?
I've often said that Nancy Pelosi will prove to be the greatest thing to happen to the Republican party, but letting her get a way this shit only emboldens our enemies and more brave U.S. troops will lose their lives because of this vote.
REAL MEN LIKE REPESENTATIVE SAM JOHNSON (R-TX) WENT TO HOUSE FLOOR AND PLEADED WITH THE OTHER REPRESENTATIVES NOT TO VOTE FOR THIS RESOLUTION. Here is his full speech:

“You know, I flew 62 combat missions in the Korean War and 25 missions in the Vietnam War before being shot down. I had the privilege of serving in the United States Air Force for 29 years, attending the prestigious National War College, and commanding two air bases, among other things.

I mention these stories because I view the debate on the floor not just as a U.S. Congressman elected to serve the good people of the Third District in Texas, but also through the lens of a life-long fighter pilot, student of war, a combat warrior, a leader of men, and a Prisoner of War.

Ironically, this week marks the anniversary that I started a new life – and my freedom from prison in Hanoi. I spent nearly seven years as a Prisoner of War in Vietnam, more than half of that time in solitary confinement. I flew out of Hanoi on February 12, 1973 with other long-held Prisoners of War – weighing just 140 pounds. And tomorrow – 34 years ago, I had my homecoming to Texas – a truly unspeakable blessing of freedom.

While in solitary confinement, my captors kept me in leg stocks, like the pilgrims… for 72 days. As you can imagine, they had to carry me out of the stocks because I couldn’t walk. The following day, they put me in leg irons… for 2 ½ years. That’s when you have a tight metal cuff around each ankle – with a foot-long bar connecting the legs.

I still have little feeling in my right arm and my right hand… and my body has never been the same since my nearly 2,500 days of captivity. But I will never let my physical wounds hold me back. Instead, I try to see the silver lining. I say that because in some way … I’m living a dream…a hope I had for the future.

From April 16, 1966 to February 12, 1973 – I prayed that I would return home to the loving embrace of my wife, Shirley, and my three kids, Bob, Gini, and Beverly… And my fellow POWs and I clung to the hope of when – not if – we returned home. We would spend hours tapping on the adjoining cement walls about what we would do when we got home to America. We pledged to quit griping about the way the government was running the war in Vietnam and do something about it… We decided that we would run for office and try to make America a better place for all.

So – little did I know back in my rat-infested 3 x 8 dark and filthy cell that 34 years after my departure from Hell on Earth… I would spend the anniversary of my release pleading for a House panel to back my measure to support and fully fund the troops in harm’s way….and that just days later I would be on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives surrounded by distinguished veterans urging Congress to support our troops to the hilt. We POWs were still in Vietnam when Washington cut the funding for Vietnam. I know what it does to morale and mission success. Words can not fully describe the horrendous damage of the anti-American efforts against the war back home to the guys on the ground.

Our captors would blare nasty recordings over the loud speaker of Americans protesting back home…tales of Americans spitting on Vietnam veterans when they came home… and worse.
We must never, ever let that happen again.

The pain inflicted by your country’s indifference is tenfold that inflicted by your ruthless captors.

Our troops – and their families – want, need and deserve the full support of the country – and the Congress. Moms and dads watching the news need to know that the Congress will not leave their sons and daughters in harm’s way without support.

Since the President announced his new plan for Iraq last month, there has been steady progress. He changed the rules of engagement and removed political protections. There are reports we wounded the number two of Al Qaeda and killed his deputy. Yes, Al Qaeda operates in Iraq. It’s alleged that top radical jihadist Al-Sadr has fled Iraq – maybe to Iran. And Iraq’s closed its borders with Iran and Syria. The President changed course and offered a new plan …we are making progress. We must seize the opportunity to move forward, not stifle future success.

Debating non-binding resolutions aimed at earning political points only destroys morale, stymies success, and emboldens the enemy.

The grim reality is that this House measure is the first step to cutting funding of the troops…Just ask John Murtha about his ‘slow-bleed’ plan that hamstrings our troops in harm’s way.
Now it’s time to stand up for my friends who did not make it home – and those who fought and died in Iraq - so I can keep my promise that when we got home we would quit griping about the war and do something positive about it…and we must not allow this Congress to leave these troops like the Congress left us.

Today, let my body serve as a brutal reminder that we must not repeat the mistakes of the past… instead learn from them. We must not cut funding for our troops. We must stick by them. We must support them all the way…To our troops we must remain…always faithful.

God bless you and I salute you all. Thank you.”

Mr. President,

If only you would have paid attention to my open letter to you dated 9/21/04. This country would be much better off, the Republican party would be much better off and your popularity would be at all time highs instead of all time lows. See reprint below:

Open letter to President Bush

Dear President Bush:

You’ve probably noticed that I have not sent you or the Republican party any money since you were elected. My reason is simple, you no longer represent what I believe. You and your willing accomplices in Congress have been spending tax payer money like a bunch of drunken Democrats. I know there is a war going on and you and the fine U.S. soldiers are doing a very good job, but that does not give you an excuse to spend money excessively in all other areas of the federal government. You came to Washington with the hopes of healing the political riffs there. You O.K’d the spending of money to appease the left. Well it did not work, they turned on you anyway, they always do, just ask your father. So Mr. President if you want my support here are some things I want you to consider:
1.) Stop spending so Damn much money! This country will get along just fine without all of this government bling-bling. Spend as much as you need on the military and for disaster relieve. Everything else can go in the toilet, it’s not the national governments place to spend money on anything different.
2.) Want to reform education? Stop spending federal money on it! You got Teddy Kennedy to write the Education reform spending package, gave it your O.K. and guess what? Teddy Kennedy is screaming to the press that you did not do enough for Education during your campaign for re-election (of course no one in the press took the time to mention his hand in the latest Education bill). Break up the Teacher’s Union, stop tenure for college professors, allow parent’s choice when it comes to education, allow all political voices to be heard on college campuses, and don’t allow drivers licenses until children get a high school diploma (talk about incentive).
3.) Term Limits. We need Term Limits for all members of the Federal Government specifically the House, the Senate and all Federally appointed Judges. http://www.termlimits.org/. You would have been able to get more done if there were fewer career politicians (ex. Tom Daschle) standing in your way. Also, the will of the people would no longer be thwarted by the rulings of liberal Federal (lifetime appointed) Judges.
4.) Bring back the Contract with America and GET FINISHED WHAT WASN’T DONE! If you’ve forgotten, here it is: FIRST, require all laws that apply to the rest of the country also apply equally to the Congress; SECOND, select a major, independent auditing firm to conduct a comprehensive audit of Congress for waste, fraud or abuse; THIRD, cut the number of House committees, and cut committee staff by one-third; FOURTH, limit the terms of all committee chairs; FIFTH, ban the casting of proxy votes in committee; SIXTH, require committee meetings to be open to the public; SEVENTH, require a three-fifths majority vote to pass a tax increase; EIGHTH, guarantee an honest accounting of our Federal Budget by implementing zero base-line budgeting.
5.) Stop pussy-footing around in Iraq. Your approval ratings for Iraq aren’t down because we don’t believe in why we are there, it’s because you’re fighting the war like a tofu-farting sissy. If they are killing our boys while hunkered down in “sacred holy sites” blow ‘em to Hell and back. Those “holy sites” stopped being holy once they were being used to kill our brave troops.
6.) The next time you have a press conference talk to the people who care and understand what you are talking about. Stop answering questions from “reporters” from the New York Times or Los Angles Times or ABC, CBS, NBC,and CNN. Invite Talk radio hosts and bloggers. More people read and listen to these media than do those other “old Media” sources.
7.) Get the hell out of the U.N. It is corrupt, no longer serves its purpose and it serves no one but itself. Get the U.S. out the the U.N. http://www.getusout.org/
8.) Keep standing up for the rights of the unborn. You’ve done O.K. on this front so far. I wish you would have fought harder to get conservative judges appointed though. Grow some testicles and start fighting hard for the rights of the unborn. Yes, the Main Stream Media will beat you up over this, but their influence is a lot less than you think or fear and they are going to beat you up no matter what you do. Which leads me to my next point-
9.) Stop trying to get the left and the Main Stream Media to like you. You’ve shown you can do it on the war in Iraq, now do it in all things you hold dear, such as stopping abortion.
10.) Close the Borders! Deport all illegal immigrants now. Empty Federal prisons of all illegal immigrants and send them back to where they came (put a microchip in their arse first, in case they try to come back). Stop pandering to ILLEGALS!!! They are not our (taxpayer) problem. 11.) Disallow all Federal money to ILLEGAL immigrants. You want to lower hospital costs, stop expecting hospitals to pay for the medical care of illegal immigrants (the cost is just passed on to all others anyway), no welfare, Medicare, or any Federal Tax Payer money should be spent on those who are here illegally.
12.) Tort Reform. This country’s government was supposed to be of the people, by the people and for the people. Instead it has become the government of the lawyers, by the lawyers and for the lawyers. (That line is so good I should have it copyrighted) .
13.) Allow God back into Government. You stood by while those ACLU heathens took away our very foundation to all of our laws, the Ten Commandments, from the Alabama Supreme Court rotunda and you watched as a good and decent man of God, Judge Roy Moore, was suspended. Refer to #8, i.e. grow some testicles.
14.) Get rid of the IRS. Eliminate it. Replace the income with a national sales tax. 10% is good enough for the Church, it should be good enough for the federal government. If it can’t live on it too bad, eliminate most of it and it won’t be so costly.
15.) Eliminate Affirmative Action. It is nothing but Government Sponsored Discrimination. White people of my age have had a whole lifetime of discrimination against us. We are mad as hell about it and we are about to come out swinging and shooting if something isn’t done real soon.
16.) Stop giving taxpayer money to National Public Radio, they only tell one side of the picture, the liberal side.
17.) Give me, well all conservatives, a cable channel. Kids have several channels, Liberals have a whole lot of channels, Golfers have their own channel, Cooks have a channel, music lovers have many channels, sports have many channels, the NFL has their own channel. I could go on and on. I want a conservative channel where we don’t have to listen to a Michael Moore loving, tree hugging, vegan-farting lib screaming over the voice of the conservative. Just one channel where we could watch the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingram, Hugh Hewitt, Ben Shapario, Michelle Malkin, Sean Hannity, Michael Medved and Michael Savage. We could do shows about things we care about, family, life, God and Country. We could have bloggers getting national face time doing nothing but reading their blogs over the airwaves - which would be much better than anything on television now.
Now don't get me wrong, you have done some things right and you are good, decent, God-fearing man like myself. You've also done a very good job on the war on Terror. I'm still gonna vote for you. That other guy scares the hell out of me and he would be much worse for this great country.

A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU. One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, “God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I’ll give you exactly 15 minutes.” The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, “Here I am God. I’m still waiting.”

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair,went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him knocking him off the platform.
The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence.

The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, “What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?”

The Marine calmly replied, “God was too busy today protecting America’s troops who are protecting your right to say stupid shit and act like an ass hole. So, He sent me.”

As a microbiologist, the phase "organically grown" means the food produced was grown in shit. It may be cow shit, or horse shit or chicken shit or even human shit. Give me chemically grown food any day.

Does anyone else wonder if the recent spinich and lettuce crops infected with E. coli (actually it is Escherichia coli O157:H7) were being grown as "organic." Just a thought.

ABC will no doubt cave in and "edit" out those parts of the the upcoming docu-drama on 9/11 that are "negative" to Clinton. Blow-job Bill tries to prop up his legacy at the expense of the truth. (wasn't that the real legacy of his whole presidency).

Democrats threaten their (ABC) operating license, truth being covered up, lawyers determining our behavior - sums up what the American people can expect if they elect Democrats to Congress or the Presidency. All we need is a Carter (or even better yet, Clinton) appointed judge determining some holy writ in the Constitution that would prohibit the showing of this docu-drama to the American people.

Democrats complain that the negative light cast on Clinton will effect the outcome of the fall elections. When in truth, the Democrats underhandedness, lying, whining of the whole ordeal will have more of an effect on the votings of most Americans.

Sabino didn’t make it. They were soundly defeated in the finals of the State championship football game. Glendale Cactus was simply a better team with a few better players and they also out-coached us. The better team won.

The kids were sad after their defeat but if they could only understand how many kids, how many teams did not make it this far. I sat with a group of old “flag football” friends. Their kids all play high school football now. All of them are very good football players and many play on very good football teams. None of their teams made it to the finals. I’m not saying that to brag about my kid or to put anyone else down. The point I’m trying to make is that not many get the opportunity to play in such a game no matter how good they are as a football player or how good their football team is.

It was great that so many people that had touched Michael’s life were there to support and cheer for him.

Michael has led a very blessed life as far as football goes. When he was 11 years old his “flag football” team made it to the first ever flag football championship held at Disney World in Orlando, FL. The NFL flew 6 members of our team to Orlando after we won the regional playoffs in San Diego, CA. We did not expect to win. One of our players broke his leg just before we flew out. We had to go with 5 kids and broken legged Blake gave moral support from the sidelines. We also were the only “co-ed” team that bothered to follow the rules and actually had a girl on our team. She ended up catching the winning touchdown pass with 17 seconds left in the championship game and we became the first ever “National flag football champions.” ESPN was there filming it all and they produced a half hour show about flag football (sponsored by the NFL). There were other teams that won their respective age group championships. Our team got most of the publicity in the show because the NFL was trying to promote girls to play flag football and our little girl (Logan Hall) made the winning touchdown. Combine that with a cliffhanger of a game and you get a great story. It was shown several times on ESPN, ESPN2 and it became”filler” for when they ran out of programming. This proud father watched it several times.

The boys on that team now all play high school football and all do very well. Their teams all did well this season. None of their teams made it to the State finals though I’m sure a couple of them will be there next year. There are better football teams and better football players than the ones at Sabino but they did not make it this far in the playoffs. Count your blessings Sabino.

What was great was that all those friends, the fathers, the mothers, the kids that played flag football, their brothers and sisters and their friends as well as Michaels aunts, uncles, and cousins came out to cheer on Michael and Sabino’s football team. It was very heart warming to experience. Thanks to all of you for your support.

So lift your heads Sabino. With a little hard work in the off-season and a little bit of luck you should be back next year and you can give it another shot. You had a great season and all should be very proud of your achievements. We’ll get’em next year.

Sabino High School Wins

Sabino High School football WINS! They advance to the Arizona state high school Division 4A-1 championship game on December 2nd at the University of Arizona stadium. They will have “home field” advantage.

It has got to be a thrill for a high school kid to play in a college stadium. Not to mention the thrill of being able to play for the State title.

We are all proud of their effort this year.

My computer has been down, Blogger.com was giving me trouble before that and the one-eyed monkey has passed away. For these reasons I have not been able to update my NFL picks lately. I will continue (as I can) to update my HOT weekly bets but the contest is over. Just as well, neither of us was doing that great.

I was 3-2-1 in my bets. I ended up with a “Push” on Seattle and Dallas or I would have been 3-3. A “push” means a tie. For example: Seattle is favored by 3 points (-3) and they win the game by three points, then you have a push. You neither win the bet nor lose the bet.

I only have two bets this week. San Diego (-6) vs. K.C. San Diego’s offense will come back to life against K.C. My second bet is Cleveland (+2) at Houston. Houston favored? Houston is pathetic, they at their best only shows signs of being average. Houston is in the hunt for the first pick of next year’s draft (Michael Vick’s little brother is my guess).
Houston proves my point that you need a good offensive line to win. Too much emphasis is put on the “skill” positions (Detroit is another example of this).

I know I’ve only been writing mostly about the NFL recently.  Since getting my motorcycle, the politics of the world don’t concern me as much. Perhaps it will come back.

I’ll start with my bets first. I accidentally bet New England (+3) twice, so it is now my big bet. I also like Steelers (-3), Colts (-13.5), and San Diego (-2); Bet Big on all. I placed small bets on Carolina (+1.5), Seahawks (-9), Dallas (-3.5) and Cincinnati (-3). Stay away from the following games for betting: Bears/Vikings, Browns/Ravens, Miami/Tampa.

No one will believe that I went 11 out of 14 in my pro pick’em league on Yahoo for week 5. No one would believe me because I went 4-9-1 HERE! I screwed up big time. However, I did go 4 out 6 in my bets (OK, 3 out of 5, I said I would not count the Arizona college game). I’m still winning $ and that is all that really counts.

The One-eyed monkey went 9-4-1 for the week! WOW! He shoots to 35-37-2 for the year while I fall to 30-42-2.

High School Marching Bands

I attended my son Michael’s football game last night. 5A schools beat Sabino badly, the last two weeks. They won easily last night over Marana High School and are now 4-2. Not bad.

The other school’s marching band played before the game. They played good old AMERICAN marching band songs like God Bless America. They weren’t that great in the tune department and their uniforms looked a little worn but it was nice to see a school doing it “old school.”

Sabino’s marching band played at half time as they always do. They have nice new shiny uniforms and there are a lot of kids in that band, it is huge. Their parental following in the stands is huge as well. They work hard and it shows; their “number” is polished. But they play a montage of Freddie Mercury & Queen songs and it just does not fit what you would expect a high school marching band to be playing at a high school football game. If they played Queen’s “We are the Champions or “Another one bits the Dust” I’d say that’s fine. But they play stuff they say is Queen and I don’t recognize a lot of it. They feature a trumpet player, during one part, soloing a part from “Bohemian’s Rhapsody”. You know the lyrics:
“Mama, just killed a man,Put a gun against his head,Pulled my trigger, now he’s dead,Mama, life had just begun,But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away”

They are featuring the part of the song about killing someone. Am I the only one who finds this sick and twisted?

Before you start whining to me, I know they work hard and I know you parents are proud of your kids. I am just questioning the choice of music. Save the Freddie Mercury (dead of AIDS before age 40) praise for the kooks on the coast. Give me some Good Old fashioned marching music about God, America and Apple Pie like the other school (Marana High School) gave me.

I told you week four would be a coin toss for most games (against the spread) and I was right; The One-Eyed Monkey went 7-7.

I did get my big bet right. Baltimore did defeat the NY Jets and covered the spread. That was about the only thing I got right last week. I took a pounding in the contest with OEM and I took an ass kicking in the betting department. A couple more weeks like this and I’ll have to start going to the meetings. (Did you ever notice how Gamblers Anonymous members are the ones who LOST money). The bets I shared with you went 1-2-1.

I went a dismal 4-10 in the contest. You couldn’t try to get that many picks wrong. But I’m back and I will do better this week; I’m feeling it!

In the yearlong contest with OEM, I am 26-33-1 and so is he. So far, I have been no better that a coin toss.

I only see one good bet in the pro games this week. The Jets are down to the third string Quarterback. The Ravens Defense will outscore the Jet’s Offense this game and the Ravens will rediscover they have a very good running back they’ve forgotten. Jamal Lewis will get 200 yards total offense alone, he’ll get more offense by himself than the Jets total offense. This will be a blow out. I’m betting big on this one. I also placed a wager on Buffalo over New Orleans.

In College bets, I taking my alma mater Western Michigan University (-10) and I am also betting for Arizona (+16.5) at Cal. Oh Cal will beat them, but the U of A always plays good teams tough, the score will be closer than many expect.

If you’d played my bets you’d be a much richer man today. Four out five in the betting department. Philadelphia not only cost my bets but the also killed a 3 way parlay and a 4 way parlay for me.

In the contest with the one-eyed monkey, I was 9-5 but so was the OEM. That brings me to 22-23-1 for the year and OEM is 19-26-1. A little more respectable for both of us.

Week 3 in the NFL

Week 3 in the NFL will prove to be one in which almost all the home teams will win. Will they cover the spread? That’s the hard part. This week let me give you my bets before the one-eyed monkey challenge.

In college I like Kansas State (-25.5) over North Texas. In the pro games; Arizona will show how good Seattle can be and how over rated Denny Green (the P.T. Barnum of the NFL) and the Arizona Cardinals really are. Take Seattle (-6). The Bears are not as good as they looked against the Detroit Lions and the Bengals are for real; Take the Bengals (-3). I don’t know if I’ll be able to stomach watching Philadelphia vs. Oakland and have two of the biggest assholes ( T.O. and R. Moss) to ever play the game face off. I'm sure who ever is covering the game will AGAIN bring up T.O. and McNabb bitch slapping of each other.

While I am on the subject, don’t you find the T.O. vs. Donovan McNabb soap opera nauseating? Their petty little squabble got so much media coverage that I figured one of the two must up a nomination for the Supreme Court. That fat-assed blob Chris (Jabba the Hutt) Berman was creaming himself while “reporting” on the subject. The lazy ass media had a field day with the whole Shebang; for the media, it is so much easier to start a controversy, then stand back and fan the flames and make a story out of the whole mess that they had a big hand in creating than ACTUALLY DOING THEIR FUCKING JOB of reporting who, what, when, where, and how. MOST OF THE U.S. MEDIA IS GUILTY OF THIS, ESPECIALLY THAT CREAM-PUFF, MIDDLE OF THE ROAD – I’M ABOVE THE FRAY, PHONEY, SECRETARY HARASSING, GUTLESS WONDER, PANTY WEARING ASSHOLE NAMED BILL O’REILLY OF FOX NEWS. Memo to Fox News – Get that asshole off the air and while you’re at it stop giving air time to the likes of Al Sharpton, any hag from N.O.W., Jessie Jackson or any of those Anti-American Assholes. They get their message delivered on all the other (liberal) news programs. We turn to FOX so we don’t have to listen to their fucking whining. But, you gutless wonders at FOX are bowing to the pressure of being labeled “conservative.” Give me my own news program and the AMERICAN viewing public won’t have to witness the likes of Cindy Sheehan, Jane Fonda, Chuck Shumer, Barbara Boxer, Ted Kennedy, etc. vomiting their hate of AMERICA over the air waves. You also won’t have a bunch of lazy ass media types starting a controversy, fanning the flames of the controversy, giving a voice to Anti-Americans, and they won’t be asking anyone what their FUCKING FEELINGS are on any subject – FACTS ONLY ! But I digress.

Not a great week 2, I was 8-7-1 and the one-eyed monkey was 5-10-1. I had a really bad week in the betting department. I lost the money I won last week and then some.

Next week, if there is a huge spread in the college games, I am betting the favored team! Every one of bets on the underdogs with very large spreads lost this week. WOW.

I am 13-18-1 for the year and the one-eyed monkey is a dismal 10-21-1. Both are pathetic. The one-eyed monkey should end the year at 50% if the rules of statistics hold up.

Well I finally did it I got my bike yesterday. I’m not sure why I got it; it’s either a mid-life crisis thing or a “penis extension” thing.

I have not driven a motorcycle in over 30 years. I still have some nasty scars and deformities on my body from a “mini-bike” as a teenager. I lost all interest in bikes since and working in hospitals over the years convinced me that Motorcycle riding should be avoided. But something came over me; I had to get one.

I spent my first day with my bike just trying to re-learn how to operate a motorcycle. I’m sure that the guys at the place I purchased the bike are still laughing about my driving skills as I left the dealership.

Sabino wins another

Sabino wins another, they beat Palo Verde (for all you gringos reading this, Palo Verde means “green tree”) High last night 34-7. Michael Dillon forced a fumble on the Quarterback that was picked up by a teammate and run in for a touchdown! That was the highlight of the game as far his parents were concerned.

Uncle Brent did not have much new to offer in the betting department. He did like Rice +41 points, I do too and am betting it. (It was down to +40.5 by the time I bet). I am following his lead and am going to bet some big underdogs. E. Michigan +29, Ohio +33.5, Ball State +36. Small bets made, just to keep it interesting. Brent also agreed with all of my NFL picks.

I hope these bets pay off because daddy needs a new pair of Motorcycle boots.

This site may now be known as the site to go to get the OPPOSITE outcome of NFL games. I ended up 5-11 and the one-eyed monkey was 4-12. I STILL won money for the week. Accidentally betting on Detroit twice was the biggest reason I came out ahead.

NFL week 1

Boy, did my picks stink this week as did the one-eyed monkey's picks. With one more game to go this week, I'm 5-10 and the monkey is 4-11. The one-eyed monkey should be right around 50%.

I know you are not going to believe this, but I made good money on my bets. I had already bet heavily on Detroit and they came through as well as picking up some money on Brent's bets. I came out ahead and I've got some big money (for me) on Philly tonight.

As for the games, it was week one. Who would have thought that Tampa Bay had a chance against Minnesota, or San Fran could do anything against St. Louis, or that Denver would fold up like a cheap suit.

In the college games, MICHIGAN should still be hanging their heads after that performance.

If you'd followed Brent's picks, you'd be 3 for 4 in the betting game. That's always good for some profits.

In high school football, my son's team the Sabino Sabercats beat their rival Sahuaro. There were over 4,000 people at the game, the most I've ever witnessed at the high school level. I've been to several Western Michigan University games that did not get that many people.

Speaking of Sabino, they flew to Oregon for their first game (it cost me, the parent, $750) but they won very easily 69-7. So they are now 2-0 and are rated 2nd in the state in 4A. It should be a good season (as always) for Sabino.

So Thursday was the NFL kickoff, Friday night high school football, Saturday - College, Sunday day and night NFL football and NFL football tonight. Oh yeah.

If you'd like to lose some money, take my little brother Brent's bets (mostly HOMER bets from a Michigander living in Florida): Michigan+7, Texas +1 in college games and Dolphins +5 and Jacksonville -3 in the pro games. I agree on all except Miami, Denver is too much and they will manhandle the Dolphins. For betting, I also like Arizona (my homer bet), it's not that they are as good as hyped, it's just that the Giants are so weak.

If you are trying to figure how many cc's your bike has and the only number you have is the motor size in cubic inches you then have to apply this formula.

16.39 x cubic inches = cubic centimeters (cc's)

On Sunday, I was driving home from an errand when I spotted a middle-aged man holding a sign as I turned a corner. I could read “No Blood for Oil” and “Bush Lied”. I rolled down my window as I passed and screamed out “ Go F*ck yourself, you commie bastard.”

I finished turning my corner and looked in the rear view mirror and saw the sign carrying, Michael Moore butt boy, Al Franken wannabe, Cindy Sheehan worshipper flip me off.

As I drove on my blood started to boil. I started to think of all the things I could have said as well, such as, “Viva la Bush”, “Leave this f#cking country if you don’t like it”, or “The 60’s are over assh#le.”

I returned home for just a second and headed back out. My next errand would take me by the idiot again, “God I wished I brought some eggs to pelt his sorry ass”, I thought. I also thought of parking my car, getting out and getting in the asshole’s face and really letting him have it.

But as I drove by the spot he once occupied, I saw that he had left. Ten minutes at most passed since I last saw him. Either, he got tired of getting yelled at or perhaps I scared the Liberal pansy back to under the rock he slithered from. Either way the streets of Tucson were without one more chicken-shit, gutless, terrorist-enabling liberal. Good Riddance.

The left has a new hero, a new mouthpiece, a new found idol by the name of Cindy Sheehan. It is sad to watch the left and Main Stream Media use her to smear the President. I think it's obvious the poor lady has some mental disorders brought on by or heightened by the trauma of her loss. But that hasn't stopped the left from using her.
