The officiating during this years NBA Eastern Championship has been bad, very bad. It stunk during the NBA West Championship too. I don't know how the announcers can keep a straight face while calling these games.

I swear I heard this, I can't make it up. During the first game of the NBA East Championship the TV people could not say the work "SHAQ" enough. There is so much fawning in their voices, they are almost breathless saying His name.

If it was a drinking game, legions of frat boys would have died of alcohol poisoning. One time, while showing game "highlights" of Shaq (who else?), I actually heard that little perv, Marv Albert, spanking his monkey. He was "Shaqing off".

It's obvious the NBA and the TV stations want 7 games. It is so obvious that the betting site I use isn't even offering a line on this game. The fix is in. The NBA is now just one step above WWF wrestling and two steps ahead of professional boxing. If David Stern ever steps down, look for Don King to become the new commisioner of the NBA.
